Robbie first joined Darchem in 1986, starting out as an apprentice. What began as a training opportunity soon grew into a lifelong career that has now spanned nearly four decades. Over the years, he has taken on a variety of roles, moving from apprentice to tradesman and then into leadership positions such as Team Leader and Site Engineer.
One of the things Robbie has valued most about working here is the chance to travel the world, installing Darchem’s products in many different places. His work has taken him to Sweden, Finland, China, Canada, the Emirates, and many more.
Each project has brought me new challenges, experiences, and opportunities to see the impact of our work on a global scale.
Darchem has also been a place of constant growth and development for Robbie. The training and hands-on experience he has gained along the way have been invaluable, particularly as he progressed into roles that involved overseeing installations and leading teams.
Above all, what makes this journey special for Robbie are the people. He has had the privilege of working alongside, and later managing, some truly brilliant teams. It is the collaboration, commitment, and pride in the work that has kept him motivated all these years.
Looking back, Robbie feels proud of how far he has come since that first day in 1986 and grateful for the opportunities and experiences Darchem has given him along the way.
