Katy O’Farrell

After completing her Natural Sciences (Biological Anthropology) degree at Cambridge, Katy joined the Rolls-Royce Graduate Programme in 2008, including a secondment to HAESL in Hong Kong. She went on to work in Civil Nuclear before moving to Civil Aerospace in 2011, holding management roles in operational planning, supply chain, and continuous improvement. Promoted to Supply Chain Manager, she oversaw the European Rotatives forging and machining supply chains, later completing a secondment with the Ministry of Defence in strategic procurement.

In 2019, Katy became Commercial Director at British Engines (BEL Engineering), managing customer relationships and contracts across Civil Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, and Marine. She joined Darchem Engineering in 2023 as Thermal Fabrications Business Unit Manager, later expanding her remit to include the Aerospace Business Unit. In February 2025, she was promoted to Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
