We actively promote responsible waste management across our sites in Stillington and Gloucester. Clearly labelled bins for paper, plastics, metals, and general waste are provided to ensure effective recycling and proper waste segregation. This approach reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill, encourages material reuse, and supports our wider commitment to environmental protection.
Energy Reduction
We’ve taken several steps to reduce our energy consumption and lower our carbon footprint. By consolidating our operations and relocating a large team into a single building, we’ve optimised space utilisation and decreased the energy required for heating, cooling, and maintenance. Most of our operational units are also equipped with motion-sensing LED lighting, which activates only when needed—further minimising unnecessary power use. In addition, we have upgraded our heating system in Gloucester to a more energy-efficient alternatives, supporting smarter and more sustainable energy use.
Renewable Energy Generation
To further support our sustainability goals, our largest building is equipped with solar panels that generate clean, renewable energy on-site. This not only helps reduce our reliance on fossil fuels but also lowers our operational energy costs. By investing in renewable energy, we are contributing to a more sustainable future for our business and the communities we serve.
Electric Vehicle Scheme
Our partnership with Octopus EV is part of our drive to cut emissions and promote cleaner transport. By encouraging the shift from petrol and diesel to electric, we’re helping reduce air pollution, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and support the transition to renewable energy.
The scheme also makes it easier for our team to choose electric, providing home charging solutions and public charging credit to remove common barriers to adoption. Every electric mile driven reduces our collective carbon footprint and moves us closer to a more sustainable future.
Cycle to Work Scheme
We have recently introduced a Cycle to Work scheme to encourage greener travel, support healthier lifestyles, and help reduce our carbon footprint. The scheme gives employees another option for travelling to and from site, while supporting our wider commitment to sustainability and wellbeing.
