Purpose of Position
·          Manages and facilitates the delivery of high-quality proposals against received customer requirements and contract changes for the marine market

·          Ensures accuracy and mitigates risk by effectively vetting cost profiles by ensuring bids detail is socialised and agreed with appropriate internal stakeholders

·          Leads activity scope and tasks management for the development of marine bids to deliver proposals to required timeframe

·          Initiates and manages sales to project hand over meetings to ensure the seamless transition of bookings to execution phase

·          Acts as primary point of contact for marine proposals activity & management

·          Supports approvals process and development of materials for RFA meetings

·          Monitors, manages and maintains margin profiles for marine bids

·          Provides accurate & up to date progress reports on both a scheduled and ad hoc basis

·          Ensures the correct & consistent application of proposals department tools, processes and standard work for marine bids, working closely with the technical bids manager.

·          Supports the continuity, consistency & alignment of marine bids structure, content & delivery

·          Develops and applies departmental metrics that drive optimised proposal deliverables and measures effectiveness

·          Acts as a core CRM user ensuring that all marine bids are accurately entered and tracked in the CRM system

·          Ensures marine bids are fully aligned with BU’’s strategic plan and business unit goals as well as Transdigm 3P’s

·          Works closely with the Marine Business Development Manager supporting market objectives and customer interactions as needed

·          Holds extensive knowledge of key customers developing distinct insights into client bid preferences & expectations

·          Understands key account management principles & the part bidding best practice plays in seamless customer experiences

·          Develops and trains other team members in Marine market, products and services. Imparting knowledge through coaching, specific training and producing documentation.

·          Manages and develops the Marine product and service portfolio, including business cases to support the technology road map

Qualifications & Requirements
·        Preferably educated to degree level, or possesses relevant business and industry experience

·        Strong & proven knowledge of bidding process & key drivers for customer service excellence

·        Highly motivated to support work winning activities, setting & continually raise the bar

·        Knowledge & understanding of the marine industry essential

·        Able to work to tight deadlines putting forth extra effort where needed

·        Proven understanding of proposal & procurement processes, as well as quality systems

·        Able to take a flexible approach, adapting & shifting priority as circumstances dictate

·        Can write compelling proposals with strong attention to detail

·        Comfortable holding themselves & others accountable for results

·        Able to perform key elements of the role to a high standard continually raising the bar

·        Full Driving Licence (3 points or less)
